Services & Fees

Sessions are available either face-to-face in Melbourne, or via telehealth (video or phone).

A standard 50-minute individual session is $250, with payment processed on the day of your appointment through Halaxy, a secure online payment platform.

You do not need a referral to see a psychologist. However, a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP or psychiatrist is required to access Medicare rebates. Rebates may also be available through private health insurance; please check with your insurer prior to your first appointment to confirm your level of extras cover.

  • If you have been referred under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $145.25 per session, for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Medicare rebates will be processed on your behalf. If you think you may be eligible for a MHCP, please discuss this with your General Practitioner or Psychiatrist.

  • We have a 24-hour cancellation policy (excluding weekends and public holidays). Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to change or cancel your appointment. This allows us to offer the time slot to other clients on our waiting list.

    If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours’ notice, a fee of 50% of your session cost will apply. If no notice is provided and the appointment is missed, the full session fee (100%) will be charged.

  • Sessions are 50 minutes in duration. The first session typically involves exploring what has brought you to therapy, how these concerns are affecting your daily life, and any relevant background information (e.g., previous therapy experiences, family history, etc.). We conclude this session by working together to establish treatment goals.

  • At this time, we are unable to provide legal assessments or reports. When engaging our services, we request that you disclose any ongoing or upcoming legal proceedings. Our psychologists reserve the right to discontinue therapy if it is discovered that this information was intentionally withheld.

  • Please note, we are not provide a crisis response service. If you require crisis support, please call Lifeline on 13 11 14 or check in with your regular GP. In case of an emergency, please call 000 or attend your nearest hospital emergency department.
